Hi my name is Mike Picard and I’ve been in the wedding business for about 27 years now. Social media has revolutionized the way couples are shopping. Studies show that wedding couples of today only want to do their shopping online, especially their wedding vendors.
Doing weddings as long as I have, I've noticed a big pattern change over the course of the years. Years ago, my booking ratio was approximately 90%. I'd be able to go ahead and make an appointment with them, have them come into my studio, and I'd be able to book nine out of ten of the customers. Now, we have to go ahead and get nine or ten inquiries to even be able to talk to two or three of them.
Today's couples, the generation today, are very, very busy. Both have full-time jobs. Both have a lot of plans. They just really don't have a lot of free time. This was especially apparent back in 2023 when I was doing a bridal tasting. We happened to notice that there wasn't as much of a turnout as there was years past. We're not getting the opportunity to get in front of the couples anymore.
Everybody's on their phone nowadays, so I thought there's got to be a way to get the vendors to the couples in a video format. So I've created Real Vendor Network, a platform to be able to bring the vendors to you in a video format. This way the vendors can be able to express themselves more to the couples.
For a lot of couples, this is their first time. They don't know what questions to ask vendors. They don't know what to look for when they're searching for their professional wedding vendor. So what we've done was we've asked some real hot questions to some of these really good vendors that are out there. And judging by their answers and their personality, you're going to be able to get to say, you know what, I kind of like what that person had to say.
