A professional hair stylist is someone who can get the job done in a timely manner. Someone who can be shown a photo and can replicate the same style in their own way.
What kind of responsibilities should they have?

Is to keep the morning running smoothly on a timely fashion matter and making sure that all of the services are completed at the scheduled time. Hiring a professional hairstylist has a ton of responsibilities. You want to make sure that the whole day, whole morning is running smoothly, everyone is on time, everyone looks great.
How do you keep the bride feeling confident and comfortable?

To keep the bride cool, calm and relaxed, we usually schedule a trial in studio. You come to the studio, you show me your inspo pic and then we adjust and critique every part of the style until you're happy with it.
What about backup equipment?

A true professional is going to literally bring everything that you need as far as a salon right location. Extension cords, extra hair tools, all of the bobby pins, hairspray that you need. Just when you think nothing can go wrong, let me tell you, it definitely can. You need a true professional to walk you through any hiccups that may happen throughout the day.
Why should I go with a professional hair stylist vs a family friend?

Hiring a professional instead of a family friend, you have to worry about: number one is to make sure everyone is completed on time, number two you really want those styles to last throughout the day and number three is what looks are going to look great on your face structure and what is going to look best with your dress? It basically all boils down to experience.
How do you approach a bride who recommends a style that you believe won’t work?

So let’s say you do have curly hair and it's 98° outside, anything that we put in your hair with the humidity it's not going to last. So I sit there with my client, we discuss the style of the dress and what her end goal is as far as hair and we go from there. Let's say you wanted to two looks in one day a professional stylist will definitely know how to do that. Everything is going to be taken care of so you can relax and enjoy your day
