A professional jeweler is someone that you trust. Someone like us who’s family owned or someone who’s not. It just has to be something that you’re comfortable with a purchase that is so important to you and your partner.
It should be something that you feel informed, you feel educated, but you also feel happy you want to feel like you’re enjoying this process in such an important time of your life.
Do jewelers make custom jewelry?

I would say everybody has a different version of what custom means. If you have an engagement ring that’s harder to match a wedding band to, you can dream of whatever you’re looking for and we can definitely make it. So the answer would be yes, jewelers definitely do custom jewelry.
When should I purchase my rings?

We say it’s never too early to shop for wedding bands. There’s so much going on in the wedding planning process you really should leave yourself some time to make the decision you’re most comfortable with. 4 to 6 weeks is the average turnaround time but I would say come in shop early. I would give yourself at least three months in the wedding Band shopping process
How do you ensure the crafstmanship of your pieces?

So craftsmanship comes down to the history of the jeweler, the time, the effort, the machinery that they’ve invested in. What are they doing to give you a better product and how confident are you that what you’re going to get is something that you’re going to wear forever?
How often should I get my jewelry checked?

A good rule of thumb for when to get your jewelry checked is when the seasons change. So if you have an engagement ring, wedding bands, diamond studs, really anything when you start to feel the leaves are falling look at the tulips, it’s OK and I need to go get my ring checked and possibly cleaned as well. Most jewelers give you a complementary inspection if something needs to be done then you can explore those decisions with them at that time.
What should I budget for bands?

It really is up to you. So whatever you’re comfortable with for a budget is the right budget, but what I will say is don’t limit yourself come in with an open mind and look at the options and see what you fall in love with. You’d be surprised how many options there are to get you what you’re looking for. It doesn’t have to mean you’re going over budget to get the look that you want. If there’s a trusted, if there’s a reputable jeweler that you’re working with they should have options to help you achieve your goal.
How do I know what to purchase for a wedding gift?

Wedding day watches are a popular one because you can engrave the back for your partner and give them a really special message that they’ll always remember what they got it for. For ladies we like to see diamond studs a tennis bracelet perhaps a second wedding band it really could be anything. Buy something that they’re going to cherish and wear time and time again. Diamond studs are a great example because she may wear them down the aisle, but she can also wear them to work, to school, to wherever she’s going. So there’s lots and lots of different options for wedding day gifts but I would say invest in something that’s going to give them long-term value, not just single day value.
Something to know is that you don’t have to buy your wedding band from the same place you bought your engagement ring. So if you didn’t have the experience you were looking for or they don’t have the options for you, we’re able to match and most jewelers are able to match. Custom isn’t just for ladies band. We have men’s options. There’s all kinds of different things so, I would say don’t limit yourself in the search go to a couple different places and see who feels the most right for you.
