Hi, I'm Maggie Kane. I'm the general manager and catering director of the Regatta Place, part of the Newport Experience. We are a fantastic outdoor wedding venue with staff from sales, catering, culinary, and operations that have all been working together closely for the past several years.
Regatta Place is located on Goat Island, which is in Newport, and we provide complimentary valet parking, so it's a stress-free arrival and departure for all of your guests. We're a waterfront property with a beautiful view of the Newport Harbor, downtown Newport, and you can see the Newport Bridge. The Newport Harbor provides a classic Newport scene with traditional sailboats and modern yachts coming in and out of the harbor, creating a very unique Newport experience for all of your guests. And on top of all that, we get some beautiful sunsets.
We offer an entire team of Regatta Place staff to help our clients from start to finish with the wedding planning process to make it as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. You'll meet your sales manager who will show you the whole space. We have our own in-house catering and beverages, so you need to bring in minimal vendors, but we give you a great list of vendors to reach out to. Then once you reach the tasting time, you'll be introduced to your catering manager, and we'll dive into the menus and the bar options at your tasting.
We'll set up a whole detail meeting where we'll dive into the really big details of formality, all the way to the little details of how you want your napkins folded. We'll go through the room setup, how you envision the space, and incorporate all the important parts of your life into the day. That way, when you're leaving this meeting, you're feeling good with the team you have in place, and you have a great idea of how the whole thing's going to flow.
Within Regatta Place, we have a lot included: tables for all of your guest seating, gold Chiavari chairs, and options for white or ivory linen for all the guest tables. We also provide tables you'll need on the patio for food displays, gift tables, place card tables, easels, string lights throughout the patio, and uplights to create ambiance as it gets darker. We also have some farm tables for your head tables and some decor packages, which makes it easier for clients planning from out of state to bring minimal with them and just enjoy everything they've planned so far.
Both the reception and ceremony tents have clear tent sides that can be installed and adjusted as needed if it's rainy or windy. As we get closer to the week of the wedding and have a realistic idea of what the weather's going to be, we'll be in touch every day, so you feel confident that you'll have a dry and memorable experience for your guests. Our staff knows what to do and knows the expectations we set with our clients, and they are able to execute them perfectly. We're always bringing in new features, like champagne towers, farm tables, and white ceremony rugs to help you elevate the space even more with what we can provide in-house. My goal for my clients is for them to enjoy the planning process and bring together all the important pieces of their day so everything comes to life.
Throughout the planning process, my aim is to build your confidence in knowing that you have a solid team here, ready and eager to make your wedding day come to life. On the wedding day, the goal is for you to simply show up and enjoy the experience, ensuring that you and your guests have a memorable time to look back on with full hearts.
