How do you take care of the bride leading up to the event day?

Yeah, so preparing for makeup can look anywhere from taking phone calls again getting to know that bride, taking the time out so they feel comfortable with you.

We usually schedule a trial in studio. You come to the studio you show me your inspo pic and then we adjust and critique every part of the style until you’re happy with it

And then closer to finalizing all those details once all their other details are finalized with their vendors, really locking in your final details, your schedule, who you are working with for hair and kind of really keeping all those lines of communication open
Do you use products the bride provides?

So, I myself as a makeup artist and I think a lot of other artists in this industry as well share the same opinion that we really prefer to use our own products as opposed to products that a client or a bride might bring in.

Because if you have an Este Lauder foundation from 1997, those ingredients have expired and for me to use that product on your wedding day, on a special event. It is not going to hold up to its longevity
What is the best tip you can give for a bride?

So let’s say you do have curly hair and it’s 98° outside. Anything that we put in your hair with the humidity it’s not going to last. So I sit there with my client, we discuss the style of the dress and what her end goal is as far as hair and we go from there.

Please hydrate, please drink water. Please make sure you have a skin care regimen in place. If you don’t a lot of makeup artist will provide you with a bridal skin prep kit, bridals do and don’t, so that’s so important that you are taking care of your skin.

Your makeup is only as good as your skin so if your skin is not good, the makeup is not going to look it’s best.
