My name's Corey Young from Outside The Box Productions. What makes me different from other DJs is the level of passion experience, knowledge of music, being organized, understanding the flow of events throughout the day, understanding that some people may like Taylor Swift, some people may not like Taylor Swift. But understanding the flow of events and how to put it all together, keep it moving, the song's working. As you can see, we're in the lab right now, surrounded by all the records that influence a lot of music that I play, and I can go in any direction whether it’s classic rock, country, hip- hop. R & B, reggae. Surrounded by all these records can kind of show you the amount of passion I have for music.
I've done numerous weddings all over the globe throughout the United States, Europe and parts of Asia as well. Oh and the Caribbean. As a full-time DJ, I've done over a 1000 weddings globally and I still play this club circuit and purposely still do proms just to keep myself dialed in to today's current music trends and hits. Understanding demographically that there's people, all different ages, all different cultures and all different styles of music.
And not everybody has experience. So you want to have someone in there that understands the magnitude of the day. It's one of the most important days of your life. We take that very serious. At your event I try to present myself. Whether a formal wedding or a beachside wedding, I adapt to your style. I like to be presentable and approachable as a boutique-style wedding DJ, I always have to bring my own personal touch.
As a full-time DJ I'm very easy to get in touch with during the day because this is what I focus on.
