Hi, I am Jason Dawson with Dawson Entertainment. Dawson Entertainment is different from other DJ companies because all of our DJs are club-proven. That means they have years, and oftentimes decades, of club and nightlife experience. They know how to bring the energy to the party and mix music like you would expect in a nightclub environment. They also have years of wedding experience, so they know how to translate that nightlife vibe and energy in a classy way for a wedding.
When you book with Dawson Entertainment, we have a lot of different options for you. Of course, our DJ set is first and foremost, and the music we play is the most important thing. But we also offer different lighting upgrades, such as up lighting, club-style moving lights that project designs and patterns around the room like you would see in a nightclub, and pin spotlighting, which highlights certain aspects of your venue like floral arrangements and cakes. We also have a very popular mirror photo booth that people love to add because it gives your guests one extra thing to do during the night. We make sure our DJ setup is nice and clean, often featuring white speakers, but we also have options for black setups depending on your venue and the overall look. I’ve been doing this a really long time—DJing nightclubs and weddings. I DJed my first wedding when I was in high school for some teachers. I focus on the music, which is what I’m good at and what I know best. I like to speak through the songs I play and the way I play them. I’m very well-versed in doing introductions, introducing dances, and letting your guests know where to go next and what’s coming up. I just don’t like to put myself out there because it’s not my day—it’s your day, and you should be the star of the show.
I’ve been learning, refining, and perfecting the skill of playing the right music at the right time. My passion is getting a reaction from you and your guests, playing the song that’s going to get everyone screaming, singing along, and having fun. That’s what drives me—it’s my passion.
