LUXE- Full Event Planning + Design
The “LUXE” service is for the company or celebrant seeking a completely stress-free, turnkey planning experience, leaving all the planning and details to us. Events By Chrissie Sue aligns our clients with experienced professionals to plan and execute each event exceptionally well, while being mindful of the determined budget. We provide on-trend theme + décor concept development and cohesive creative design + styling. Proper time will be taken to determine the type of event you or your company envision, connect with vendors that meet such criteria, then plan and execute an extraordinary event to remember. Let us help you focus your current event vision or completely personalize a design for you! We work with many reputable hospitality vendors; together we bring your event to life with personal touches and picturesque styling.

ELITE- Collaborative Management + Styling
The “ELITE” service is for the company or host who has already begun the planning process. An event date is set, the venue, caterer and at least one other vendor has already been contracted; but you’re seeking planning reinforcement as you may not have the time and/or resources without professional guidance to design and/or secure the remaining vendors suitable for the type of event you are planning. What one may see as partial planning in the industry, we like to think of it as more of a collaborative approach. Our hosts will have full engagement with their contracted vendors but require professional assistance to pull it all together and cohesively style their event. This service also provides “month of planning” as the primary liaison to all vendors, to execute your vision and plans on your event day, reducing your stress leading to the affair allowing you to be truly present.

BE THERE- “Month of Planning”
The “BE THERE” service is for the host who intends on completing their own planning. However, would prefer a professional to take over the final details six weeks prior. This service provides “Month of” and “Day of” event direction as the primary liaison to all vendors, to execute your vision and plans.

Interview Transcript

My name is Chrissy Sue and I own an event planning and design firm called Events by Chrissy Sue. I've actually been in the industry for over 20 years. I started back in 2003 when I was just getting out of college and I haven't stopped since. I have executed over 500 events. The events have ranged from intimate affairs to very large grand events.

I would say the most unique element of myself is my personality. A lot of times I've been considered a social chameleon because I have the ability to be very direct when I need to be, but also very understanding and playful and unique in terms of my styling, but also understanding and a great listener. Those are qualities that are very important when you are hiring someone that you're going to be working with day in and day out.

An event is something that you'll be planning for a number of months, sometimes a number of years. If you have someone you're comfortable with, their personality will help you discover what you want for your own event because every event is different. And so having a great listener and someone with a great personality that you're going to be working with day in and day is super important.

I would say the best part of being a wedding planner is to create a different event with each specific client. The milestone events, whether they be personal or from a corporate perspective, every day is different. People may opt to not go with an event company. What happens is is that they're overwhelmed and then the process of the milestone event ends up becoming lost and they don't have the opportunity to really enjoy the process as much as they would because they're so busy working through the logistics.

Hiring someone professional like a planner, it would allow for those things to be streamlined, have someone that is working as your advocate. My job is to make sure that not only our clients enjoy the process, but they can be physically present while they're there. These types of events, they can only happen once. So if you miss that opportunity because you're so stressed, it really takes away from the entire experience.
