My name's Alex Brown, and I'm the owner of Its Lit Weddings and Events. One of the big things that makes us unique is the fact that we have such a wide range of services. Specifically, we are very well known for our marquee letters. We have by far the largest range that you can find anywhere because we have both three-foot and now four-foot letters, numbers, symbols—basically anything you can dream of, we probably have it.
We also do audio guest book rentals, which is the telephone that you can pick up and leave a message for the bride and groom, and then they get all those messages in a nice digital gallery after the wedding. We are heavily involved with the latest decor trends on both TikTok and Instagram, which is why we continue to add to our range of services to keep up to date as things change because decor is a pretty fast-moving industry.
I have always had a very Type A, very organized, very deep attention to detail. I'm very nitpicky about the little things, and in my opinion, that's exactly what you want in a decor professional. I go as far as wiping down the marquee letters with a microfiber cloth to make sure there's no dust or dirt, especially after they go outdoors, even though you might not actually see those things. I like to make sure that they're as clean as they possibly can be.
Another thing that we do that's really important, and a lot of wedding coordinators appreciate, is we leave extra light bulbs with our marquee letters. I don't think we've ever actually had bulbs on marquee letters go out during an event, but it's very important that they're there just in case something like that happens. The people who work for me go through rigorous training to make sure they can meet my standards, ensuring that all those little details are perfect.
Our ultimate goal for the customer experience is to have every single customer that we work with feel like they were communicated with well. It's our job to make sure that everything is perfect, and ultimately, we just want to make sure that their wedding day is perfect, especially those photos they're going to be taking with our decor.
