Vendor Interview
Jennifer Neves Photography
About
My approach to weddings begins long before the BIG day. I closely work with my couples figuring out their documentary style by listening to their wedding day visions and then creating their day of timeline. It is important to stay organized and detailed in order to let my creative juices out. I am obsessed with light and do everything possible to capture the smallest of fleeting moments, glances, and emotions.

Interview Transcript
My name is Jennifer Neves and I'm the owner and lead shooter for Jennifer Neves photography. We'd like to think that we provide a level of experience and expertise that sets us apart from everyone else. I want to make sure that all our clients are happy and feeling like they're comfortable on their wedding day. No matter what it is that they are looking for, I really enjoy hearing how they communicate that to us and then we can take that and turn that into their story of the day.
The type of experience that I love to provide for our clients is just a high-energy, excited experience and just making sure in a very organized way we have a purpose, but we're getting through it with lots of laughs, staying in the moment and having fun. I come equipped with at least two cameras on my body. I really don't like to switch out lenses. That takes time and effort and there's always a chance of something happening when you're switching out lenses. So I like to have as many cameras as we have lenses.
Once we get an inquiry from a bride and groom, I send them an email. I let them know if we're available or if we’re not. After that we offer either an in-house appointment, a zoom, or simply a phone call. We can also always communicate through email and answer all the bride and groom's questions. Whatever makes them feel more comfortable is exactly what we like to do. Attention to detail is the most important thing for me because I know the bride and groom put a lot of thought into their day and all of their details.
So I've been shooting weddings since I was 16 years old and that kind of happened by accident but ever since then I've been shooting weddings. Going into our wedding days, even though we've worked so hard to create our timelines and we make sure that we stay on time, we just want to make sure everyone's laughing naturally and just having a blast. At the end of the day that's the most important thing. I think Bristol is very centrally located between Providence and Newport. A lot of our weddings are towards the Newport area, but we also have Providence weddings and being in Bristol allows our clients to be able to reach me pretty much in the center of the state. Your wedding pictures are gonna be the one thing that's gonna last forever. If there was any advice that I can give to any bride and groom that's out there shopping around for a photographer, let me explain it to you this way- hire a photographer that you feel comfortable with, that you can smile at all day, and that you just have confidence that will come through with beautiful images is going to be worth it’s weight in gold at the end of the day.
