About

Hello! I’m Jess.

As a Newport wedding photographer, I specialize in photographing people, celebrating milestones, and supporting the community. Since 2004, I have built a career capturing weddings, families, and corporate events, though my passion for photography began years earlier in the darkroom as a student.

My work reflects these values. Trained in fine-art photography at a college in upstate New York, I started as a commercial photographer in Boston, working with both 35mm and medium-format film. Running between assignments, clients, and the darkroom taught me how to balance logistics, composition, and light. That hands-on foundation still shapes how I shoot today.

In 2001, I photographed my first wedding and quickly realized how meaningful documentary wedding photography is. Couples trusted me to capture one of the most important days of their lives. Over time, those couples became families, and by 2008 I expanded into family portraits as well. Today, I balance weddings, portraits, and corporate photography for clients I deeply value.

I use professional Nikon and Sony gear, mixing natural light with off-camera flash to create timeless, authentic images. My editing in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop enhances the moment without trends. I maintain both cloud and local backups, and I still treasure my medium-format film cameras. Yet, gear only supports the story—the most important part of photography is creating meaningful images.

Jessica was my only choice for a photographer. Clearly, there were MANY other options, but after seeing her work and talking with her about her approach, there was no decision to make. I knew she would be the best! She listened to what my husband and I were looking for and delivered! She captured each unique moment and chronicled every detail with creativity without being intrusive. I’m so glad I have such amazing photos to look back on our day! Thank you Jessica!

Jessica is absolutely brilliant! I am so grateful she photographed our wedding and our engagement session. These are pictures we will cherish forever. She really captured our personalities and our dynamic as a couple. I will now be able to treasure all of our wonderful, hilarious, love-filled moments of the day. I knew pictures were a priority to me in wedding planning (you have them forever) and she went above and beyond. She also helped manage our huge wedding party (3 kids, 16 adults) and was very straightforward and helpful. She took over 900 photos that day. And she made us all look good!
