We worked with Katie for over a year leading up to our wedding day. She was honest, transparent, and a delight to work with as she answered all of our questions to help keep us at ease through the planning process. My now husband and I live in Boston and were looking for help with planning our May 2025 wedding at Rosecliff in Newport. We knew we needed a “day of” coordinator and asked our venue for recommendations, which is how we initially found Katie Ryan Events.

When we spoke with Katie, we knew immediately it would be a great fit. She was warm, approachable, and easy to connect with, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Katie not only guided us through the entire wedding planning process with such grace and expertise, but she also did an outstanding job managing the added challenge of coordinating between two different time zones—me being in Chicago for my MBA and Artie in Boston. While it’s bittersweet that the planning process is over, we’re so grateful for the photos and videos we’ll have to relive it forever. Katie is the best!

Katie is Epic. My wife and I interviewed all of the event planners (except 1 that did not respond) on Rosecliff’s referral sheet. We found Katie to be the most knowledgeable because of her risk averse approach. No joke, I wanted to enter Rosecliff on a speedboat and Katie just started listing off things that could go wrong.

In the end she threw us an incredible event at Rosecliff, which was truly the night of our lives. Some of our guests gave us positive feedback regarding how she and her vendors stayed out of the way and did not interfere with the festivities. A lot of photographers and videographers interfere, as well as, the planners themselves, but Katie and her team operated incognito in the background ensuring things ran smoothly.

We also enjoyed working with her. She went above and beyond to do everything we asked for including painting a pitchfork gold, custom table cards etc. The timeline of the wedding ran very smoothly and she maintained control throughout the night. She also brought everything to our hotel before the evening ended so we had NOTHING to worry about. As a business owner I struggle to give up control, but I trust Katie and you should to.
