About
Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering was founded in 2016 by husband and wife team, Padraic and Kaylyn Keane. Padraic grew up working in his parents’ village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015, where he became fascinated with wood-fired bbq. He welded his first wood-fired smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence. Keane’s held their first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016, and has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service.
In 2023, Keane’s unveiled a brand new facility on Warwick Ave, which now serves as the main production kitchen, office and customer reception.Supported by Chef Esteban Gonzalez and Events Manager Kym Gardner, Keane’s offers an array of award-winning catering services and some of the best barbecue to clients all over Southern New England. Hi, I'm Kaylyn Keane and I'm Kim Gardner and we work at Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering. Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering is an award-winning caterer located on Warwick Ave in Rhode Island. What makes Keane's really different is our legendary service team. We just have such a wide range of experienced staff, friendly, outgoing, sweet, kind, liked. They bring the party, they bring in the party.
At Keane’s we specialize in slow smoked barbecue. Our pit masters use reverse flow smokers fired with red oak, and we're known for our brisket and pulled pork shoulder. But we also offer a variety of seafood options as well as vegan and vegetarian options. With food we can take you from appetizers through dessert. For bar, we can do beer, wine, and champagne services. And then we also include tabletop rentals from cutlery, plates to glassware and linens. So it makes it really seamless for you to get everything that you need from us.
We work with many different venues in the region and if we haven't been there, we'll come out and do a site visit and we'll make sure that we know all the details before we arrive on site.
Our entire team is focused on a great customer experience from the moment you call to engaging with your guests on event day. As Michael Pollan says, barbecue has always brought people together and a Keane's wedding really brings an atmosphere to an event with our wood-fired smokers that you can't really find anywhere else. Our pit masters elevate the experience by carving the proteins on the buffet line. We have an array of sides that are vegetable forward to increase the freshness of the meal. Um, and we just bring the atmosphere with our really spectacular event team. We want to fill our clients with the confidence that we're going to take care of everything and that their guests aren't just going to get fed, but they're going to have a really, truly memorable meal and they'll be coming up for seconds or thirds.
If you're ready to give Keane's a try, all you have to do is come down to our shop on Warwick Ave on a Friday night. We offer free tastings every Friday night through our barbecue takeout service. Or you can, put an event inquiry through our website and you'll get pretty much straight to Kim or one of our other event managers who will be able to help you and give you a discount code for our takeout.
