Hi, I'm Sabrina Scolari, the owner of Sabrina Scolari Photography Studio in Warren, Rhode Island. Welcome to my space. So here at Sabrina Scolari Photography Studio, I am not a mass production studio. I'm more like a fine art, fine tailored. It is not just about clicking away and photographing a thousand pictures. Photography is an experience.
My take on weddings is I make it look like I was part of the wedding. It is my wedding and not just my client's wedding. I don't want them to feel pressured that they have to take pictures. I want them to feel relaxed and open about themselves and show their personalities.
I went to photography school, photographed with film, and I was working in a darkroom. From there, I graduated on to digital photography. I opened my studio here in Warren, Rhode Island over 20 years ago, and I've been here ever since. I showcase in my store the quality, high-end quality of albums that I like to sell. And the album companies that I work with are very established and they serve as only professional people like me.
It is a fine art studio, meaning that we still print on high-end watercolor paper, high-end photographic paper. The printing process is still done in the most eloquent and professional way you can find.
It is so easy just to have a camera to go out there and click and shoot away. As a photographer, you can have the best equipment out there, but if you don't know your equipment and what you're doing with the couple, nothing will ever look as professional.
I was brought up in Austria, in Europe. The fashion and the flair and the film photography that I had to learn in Europe created a little bit more of a different flair in me in the way I view things. During the day when I photograph a wedding and the lighting is extraordinary, I actually use my film camera for that and not my digital camera. to bring out that fine art, that eloquent lighting, the soft skin tones that we are so used to from way back when.
But the most important thing for me is for the couples to see the product that you're investing in. So it is extremely important to meet in person if it's possible. Of course, phone chats are available too, but if you have the time to come and see me, it will be a blast.
